50 members rolled into Reigate for the regular Friday night £10 Rebuy, contributing to a lively tournament and a prize pool of almost £3,000. By the end, (and after various deals had been done), just Pete Edler and Simon Atridge were left in a heads-up for the Main Event ticket worth £220. Pete came out on top, picking up yet more Poker League points and claiming £665 in cash along with the ticket that gains him entry into the £200 FreezeOut that kicks-off at 4.00pm in a little over 2 weeks time on Saturday 28th June when the guaranteed prize pool will be £10,000. Simon took second spot and £665 in cash. Steve Critchely in third place grabbed £400.

Vishal Patel won Saturday's £50 Shoot-Out and with the prize money guaranteed by the club he managed to get his hands on £700 in cash, despite the disappointing turn-out. Claire Tucker also benefited from the great value on offer and took £400 in prize money. 3rd-Placed Matthew Cock picked up £250.
Currently lying in second place, Vishal's win brought him 30pts and helped him close the gap on Poker League leader Pete Edler. With some way still to go, the race at the top is very much alive.

After carving up £1,000 in prize money between them, Chris Williams and Pete Edler set about putting on a repeat performance of the David and Goliath show, as they went head-to-head for the odd £80 left over. With the blinds at 2k/4k, Chris had just 17k chips, set against Pete's wall of 203k chips. But - as the big-unfriendly-giant found out when he took on the king-with-the-sling - size ain't everything. Still, Pete won't be feeling too deflated this morning - he did pick up £500 in cash, along with maximum poker league points that keep him top of the table and favourite to win the £200 Main Event ticket.

Over 60 runners turned out for the club's June Main Event £200 FreezeOut. The atmosphere was great; the banter loud and good-natured; the poker furious. Even with the blinds starting at 25-50 on a gentle 45 minute clock, it should have come as little surpise that no fewer than five men had gone down by the end of the first level. The whole thing had kicked-off just after 4.00pm, under the capable stewardship of our new cardroom manager Tony Hakki and ran smoothly throughout the evening, until just around midnight when the last of the short-stacks fell and the field had been finally whittled down to the final table of 10. Chip leader at that time was Claire Tucker, sitting with a wall of 200,000 chips in front of her. Second lay Gary Nagle on about 100,000 and it was he that went on to wrest the top prize of £4,000 in the early hours of Sunday morning. Joint second on £2,195 were Mike Moore and Chris Cousins who regularly cashes in the big tournaments. Lee Hurley came fourth taking £850. Claire finished fifth with £700.
